ElijahStreams Features: Violence Prevention

The Center for Violence Prevention helps victims of abuse, violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. Every month, Mike & Lori Salley spend time asking the Lord where His heart is for things that are going on on the planet. This prayer led them to the Center for Violence Prevention in Jackson, Mississippi. Because of the complex trauma that their clients have experienced, it takes a long time to ground them in a way that they can recover. This ministry is run by Christians. Clients who have been helped and are ready to move out and begin living again need transportation to get to/from work and school. ElijahStreams was able to donate 3 cars to the Center for Violence Prevention, who passed them along to women who needed them. The cars provide freedom and independance. This is also meaningful for the children people helped by the ministry. One woman shares that the car helps her co-parent, get her kids, take them to school, and provide them with food. She says her kids "got their mom back."
