Steve Shultz Health Update: A Miracle in the Timing!

Dear ElijahStreams family,

We wanted to share an important update with you about Steve.

Many of you know Steve has mentioned some ongoing health issues, including concerns his doctors had about his heart. An angiogram was scheduled to determine what needed to be done. 

On Tuesday, September 15th, Steve had the angiogram, and his doctor found he needed a non-emergency, open heart, aortic heart valve replacement. 

Normally, this procedure can take weeks to schedule, but an incredible miracle happened! A cancellation opened up on the doctor’s schedule, allowing Steve to have the surgery that very day!

After Steve and Derene prayed about this procedure, they both felt peace and that the Lord was leading them to have it done. Steve went ahead with the heart valve replacement, and we’re thankful to report that everything went very well besides a couple bumps in the road along the way!

Steve is currently receiving physical therapy to regain his strength. He's eager to get back to hosting as soon as he can!

And for those of you who know Steve, you’ll appreciate this: he is feeling so good that Steve said we may have to hold him down to keep him from doing too much too soon! He’s already enjoying how much better he feels after his “heart tune-up.”

Please pray for Steve—for strength, rapid and complete healing, and for the Lord to restore his body to 100% health. Please also pray for wisdom for his doctors and entire care team.

Steve and Derene also ask you to pray that every person Steve encounters throughout this journey would experience the love of the Lord and come to know Him if they don’t already.

Over the next couple weeks, you may see an assortment of hosts filling in for Steve on our daily livestreams until he returns.
